About the Company: The Recruit Group (TRG) is partnering with a boutique construction and property development company delivering high-spec townhome developments and premium residential homes. With a strong pipeline and continued growth across the business, they are seeking a motivated Junior Accountant to join their close-knit, collaborative finance team. The Opportunity: This is an excellent role for someone early in their accounting career looking to build hands-on experience in the construction industry. Working closely with the Finance Manager, you'll gain exposure across the full accounting function, support ongoing projects, and help drive accurate financial reporting. Key Responsibilities: Assist with accounts payable and receivable functions Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and supplier statements Support month-end processes, including journals, accruals, and reporting Maintain project cost tracking and assist with budgeting/forecasting Prepare and process invoices, purchase orders, and payment runs Provide administrative support to the finance and project teams Ensure compliance with company policies and industry requirements About You: 1-2 years' experience in an accounting, finance or bookkeeping role Ideally exposure to construction, development, or project-based environments (not essential) Studying towards or recently completed a Bachelor of Accounting or similar Strong attention to detail and a proactive, team-focused mindset Confident with Excel and accounting software Excellent communication and organisational skills Why This Role?
